The goal of the Global Student Success Program is to support international students during their first semesters at VCU through supplementary academic content, skill development, and both social and academic support.

Navitas, VCU's partner in this initiative with more than 20 years of experience in launching similar successful pathways programs, help with the recruitment and support of these international students, while VCU retains control of all academic aspects of the program.

Among the benefits supplied to students of the Global Student Success Program include:

• Building confidence in students both in and out of the classroom
• Identifying students at risk early in order to assist and increase their chances of success
• Creating a coaching relationship to explore academic and career interests, and to align these interests with appropriate VCU resources

Through this support, Navitas reports an average of 95 percent* of successful pathway students progress on to degree programs at their respective institutions.
